Daniel Liebskind designed this post-modern building as an attempt to revolt against the modern era.  Architecture should be art- not for social change.  I’m not a fan…you?

Waiting outside Guu- Bloor St. W.
Everyone always talks about this place.  Can’t say I am too proud of myself for finally deciding to go.  Good food though!
con sangría, un libro y conversación buena (Torintos- T.O.)
The first time I was introduced to Nietzsche was in Paris.  I refuse to comment on his theories without having read his books. “I think he was one of the smartest man alive…” My friend said as I flipped through the book.  Although Christian at heart, it never hurts to be open minded.
“Where do you get these from?” I gently touched a necklace as I asked the bearded man sitting at the front.
“Everywhere.” He replied with a slight smirk on his face, projecting a sense of pride in the merchandise from his store.
I nodded in understanding and began exploring the rest of the store.  A woman with a backpack came in the store as I browsed.  “I really liked the stuff you have out front!”  She began…I immediately recognized her German accent.  I listened in.  “You’re store is similar to stores we have in Berlin.”
The man leaned forward as they struck up a conversation about travel adventures. I listened intently as I browsed through the items on the back shelves.  “…I’ve been to Germany many times, I love travelling. It’s a bit of an addiction I guess…I can’t seem to get enough.”  I overheard the man say.  “I’ve been to India 11 times, and Japan multiple times too.”
I couldn’t control myself, “Sorry to interrupt, have you been to China?”.  Both the German lady and the man smiled as I joined their conversation.  We talked about our adventures, our likes and dislikes about places, and how we feel about Toronto.
His store represents a collection of the momories of his life. There’s something comforting about that.
“I think this is from India…looks like it…or Nepal…”
“It’s so nice to be away from everything downtown.” My friend said as we walked between the narrow streets and market stands.  Designated as a National Historic Site of Canada, Kensington Market is a famous destination for Torontonians who want to experience a distinctive multicultural environment.
I remember this place from when I was younger, maybe when I was 12 or 14….I can’t remember exactly - when I used to go because I wanted to and not because I needed to get away from the pre-designed world around me.  It looks a lot like it did years ago though…but somehow it felt different.
Yorkville after dark, Bay Station, - T.O.
Sit with gelato in hand; bring a sweater; listen to the streets.
Sitting among lights, music, & dancers.
I think if you look hard enough, you always manage to find what you are looking for.  Inspiration - I found it here tonight.
